Still Have Questions?

Our team is here to help. Whether you need a custom quote, want to discuss your facility's specific needs, or have questions about our services, we're just a call away.
Are all your cleaning staff employees or do you use subcontractors?

All Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning team members are direct-hire W-2 employees—we do not use subcontractors, franchisees, or independent contractors.

This employment model ensures consistency, accountability, and quality control that’s simply not possible with subcontractor-based cleaning companies.

Our employees receive competitive wages, benefits including paid vacation and sick time, paid holidays, performance bonuses, comprehensive training programs, and career advancement opportunities.

When we invest in our team members’ success and stability, they invest in delivering exceptional service to your facility. This direct employment approach also means clearer communication, faster problem resolution, and the consistent cleaning teams that build trust with our clients throughout Elmhurst, Naperville, Oak Brook, Schaumburg, and across Chicagoland.

Every Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning employee completes our comprehensive training program before working independently at client facilities. Our training includes proper cleaning techniques and protocols for different surface types, correct use of commercial cleaning equipment and machinery, safe handling and dilution of cleaning chemicals and disinfectants, infection control and cross-contamination prevention methods, customer service and professional communication standards, and facility-specific protocols including security, access, and client preferences.

Training doesn’t stop after onboarding—our team receives ongoing monthly training sessions to maintain high standards, learn new techniques, and stay current with industry best practices. Supervisors conduct weekly inspections and provide coaching to ensure continuous improvement. Employees working in specialized environments like healthcare facilities, schools, or food manufacturing receive additional industry-specific training. This investment in education and skill development ensures your facility receives knowledgeable, professional service from a well-trained cleaning team.

Yes! Every Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning employee undergoes comprehensive background screening before being hired and before entering any client facility. Our screening process includes criminal background checks, sex offender registry verification, reference checks and employment history verification, and identity verification and work authorization confirmation.

We understand that you’re trusting us with access to your facility, often during off-hours when the building is unoccupied. Background checks are essential to maintaining that trust and ensuring the safety and security of your property, employees, and assets. This is especially important for clients in sensitive environments like schools, healthcare facilities, financial institutions, and government buildings throughout Downers Grove, Wheaton, Glen Ellyn, Villa Park, and across DuPage County. We can provide documentation of our background check policies for your security or compliance requirements.

Yes! At Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning, we believe in consistency. We assign dedicated cleaning teams to your facility, and the same trained professionals clean your space each service. This approach provides multiple benefits: your team becomes familiar with your facility layout, preferences, and specific requirements; you build relationships with the people cleaning your space; quality improves because the same team takes pride in their work and sees the results over time; and security concerns are minimized since you’re not dealing with rotating strangers.

While occasional substitutions happen due to illness, vacation, or scheduling needs, we minimize changes and ensure any substitute cleaners are fully trained and briefed on your facility requirements. This consistency contrasts sharply with franchise cleaning companies that send whoever is available, creating unpredictability and security concerns. Clients in Addison, Carol Stream, Wood Dale, Elk Grove Village, and Franklin Park appreciate knowing exactly who will be in their facility and building trust with a familiar team.

Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning is built on the belief that when we support our employees, they deliver exceptional service to our clients. We provide competitive wages that recognize the skill and professionalism cleaning work requires, comprehensive benefits including health insurance options, paid vacation, sick time, and paid holidays, performance bonuses and recognition programs, career advancement opportunities from cleaner to lead to supervisor roles, ongoing training and professional development, and a respectful, dignified work environment.

We’re especially proud to create meaningful employment opportunities for immigrants and underserved communities in Chicagoland. Many of our long-term employees started with limited English proficiency or were new to the United States—we’ve watched them grow, advance, purchase homes, and build stable lives for their families. This commitment to our people isn’t just good ethics—it’s good business. Low turnover means experienced teams, consistent service, and the reliability our clients throughout Aurora, Elgin, Joliet, Bolingbrook, and across the Chicagoland area have come to expect from Helping Hands Commercial Cleaning.
